Come and holiday at “Nick’s cottage”, located on our lifestyle block at Staveley, midst the foothills of Mid Canterbury.

 

“Nick’s cottage” is self-contained accommodation, tastefully rustic and situated amongst a large park like setting featuring extensive native planting and an established garden. This country cottage has stunning views of Mt Somers, ideal for a couple, families, or a group of friends for a weekend getaway or retreat where walks, tramping, ice skating, skiing, golf, fishing and hunting are all at the back door.

 

Staveley is 75 mins drive from Christchurch International airport, and 15 minutes from Methven, a local ski town with a wide array of cafes and restaurants. The local Staveley café is within 5 minutes walk of the cottage. Mt Somers township is 10minutes drive, has a store, cafe/bar,  Stronechrubie restaurant and bar and the local swimming pool. Close to two wedding venues ; The Staveley Boutique Lodge and The Staveley Dairy Co-op (1916).

Mt Hutt ski field access is just 15mins away, internationally renowned and great facilities to cater for all levels of skier and snowboarder. Close to several walking tracks for all levels of fitness,  Mt Somers and  Hakatere Conservation Parks, Lake Heron and the breathtaking landscape of “Lord of the Rings” movie site. Treat yourself to an afternoon or evening at the Staveley Skating rink June-August, or  take a drive to Methven and relax in the Opuke Hot Pools.
